Live lobster is our speciality! In the cold, clear waters of the North Atlantic, the freshest and tastiest lobster can be found, and they're brought directly from the wharves to our facility in the Lobster Capital of Canada. Our succulent, sea-kissed lobster is wild-caught by our local fishermen whose tradition and experience ensure a fresh product for our customers.
We buy fresh, live atlantic lobster mainly from districts 33 and 34, as well as other districts when their seasons are open. Our facility receives live lobster that goes through a process of grading into sizes and checking the quality of each lobster before it is then stored in our temperature controlled tanks. Prior to shipments, the requested quantity and size of each lobster is taken from the tanks and packed immediately into 30 pound boxes. With years of experience in handling live lobsters, our mortality rate when shipping overseas is always below the 5% market allowable mortality rate. With our great connections and relationships with freight forwarders on the East Coast, we can guarantee shipping space is available for us during peak seasons, especially during Chinese New Year and other important holidays.
As a Canadian Food Inspection Agency approved facility, our personnel can ensure both the quality and safe handling of our products. We are MSC Certified and this provides us with product traceability and sustainability. Our live lobster is part of a sustainable fishing industry. We also have an Air Cargo Security program which ensures your order is kept secure during its entire journey.
